September 2006

Thanks to everyone who put a bid in for the Dream Team. I’ll be in touch over the next 24 hours or so to pass on details.

In the meantime if anyone wants to bid on the Managers Positions then bids are still being accepted.

Live the Dream!

A little under four hours left on the players auction.

Home Team: One half game still to receive a bid, plenty of others that you can outbid someone on.

Away Team: Three full games and two half games still to get a starting bid.

I’ll update the site from 8.30pm onwards this evening should there be anyone out there waiting ’til the last minute to bid.

Just a reminder that the players auction will end at 10pm this evening.

Be Tha BossWith places now filling up for the Dream Team game on Sunday 8th October (2pm k.o. – spectators welcome) we’ve got two special places on offer for the non-playing fan. Yup, we’re auctioning off the two managers spots!

The team manager will take the team talk on the day, set the team out in their preferred formation, make any unscheduled substitutions (due to injury), change formation when the going gets rough/you sneak a one-goal lead and generally shout random instructions and wave your hands around while the players ignore you and pretend to have developed temporary deafness.

You’ll also get a certificate, T-shirt and photograph as a momento of the day.

Bidding starts at £20

There are still a few full and half games available for the fitter supporters out there which we could really do with filling.

Colin HarrisPlayers signing up to play in this year’s Dream Team game will be lining up with some of the biggest names in Rovers history. Eight former players have agreed to play a half each in what is sure to be a great day for the fans and a fundraiser for the club.

The first four players to be announced are: Colin Harris and Chris Candlish (returning from last year’s game) and two newcomers in Jim “Rambo” Mashall and the legendary Ronnie Coyle.

Four more Rovers Legends will be announced in the next 48 hours so place your bid now to secure a place at this year’s event.
